EXPEKIMENTAL STUDY ON THE PREPARATION AND OCCURRENCE OF STRONG EARTHQUAKE

Abstract: In this paper,the tectonic features for preparation of strong earthquakes in China are distin-guished into three types:pivotal,intersection and step area types after our laser holographic pho-to elasticity experiments.The characteristics of distribution of strain field and principal stress,shear stress under the effect of recent tectonic stress field are quantitatively analysed.The studyresult suggests a dynamic process for preparation of earthquake,mechanism of earthquake rec-currence and tectonic factors affecting earthquake magnitute for these three types of tectonic features.

摘要: 应用激光全息光弹性实验研究将我国7个强震的孕育构造划分为枢纽型、交汇型和阶区型3类,并定量分析了它们在现代构造应力场作用下的形变场及主应力、剪应力的分布特征。研究结果提出了这3种孕震构造的动力学过程、地震重复发生的力学机制以及影响地震震级的构造因素。
