KINEMATIC FEATURES OF TECTONIC DEFORMATION OF TERRANES IN THE XIZANG (TIBETAN) TETHYAN BELT

西藏特提斯带地体构造变形的运动学特征

Abstract: From the point of view of plate kinematics a unified convergence velocity model is employed to derive a series of kinematic equations for deformation of Himalaya and Lhasa-Gangdise terranes during the Himalayan orogeny.These equations describe terrane shortening,crust-upper mantle thickening,lateral strike-slip movement,plateau surface uplift,erosion planation and isostatic height of the crust,etc.These kinematic equations for terrane deformation derived on the basis of mass conservation define the macroscopic trends of tectonic evolution of 2-D deformation of the Himalaya Terrane and 3 D deformation of the Lhasa-Gangdise Terrane during the 40Ma of the Indian-Eurasian convergence-collision on the one hand,and provide the systematically defined initial and boundary conditions for further study on the process of tectono-thermal evolution of the deformed terranes on the other hand.

摘要: 用板块运动学观点,以统一的汇聚速度模型,推导了喜马拉雅造山期西藏特提斯带内的喜马拉雅地体和拉萨-冈底斯地体的变形运动学方程,包括地体缩短、壳幔增厚、侧向滑移、原面抬升、侵蚀夷平及地壳的均衡高度等。在质量守衡前提下导出的地体变形运动学方程组,不仅以因果关联的方式,给出印度和欧亚板块汇聚-碰撞的40Ma期问,喜马拉雅地体的二维变形和拉萨-冈底斯地体的三维变形的宏观构造演化趋势,而且为进一步探讨变形地体的构造热演化过程,提供了系统定义的初始和边界条件。
