The characteristics of major fault zones and stress field distribution in Weihe-Yuncheng basin based on seismic activity and focal mechanism solution

摘要: 摘要:本文基于2009年1月至2018年6月渭河-运城盆地地区震相报告资料,使用双差定位法得到了8106个地震事件的重定位结果。采用格点尝试法,确定了区域内346个ML≥2的地震事件的震源机制解,并根据震源机制解和应力张量阻尼反演方法使用MSATSI程序包反演得到了研究区1°×1°网格的地壳应力场。结果显示:重新定位后,在平面上,地震事件基本沿断裂走向分布;在垂向上,地震事件沿断层面密集分布。该区域断层面的倾角较大,与地表产状相近,部分断层甚至近直立。断裂构造运动性质和震源机制解指示研究区内断层性质以正断和走滑为主;应力场反演结果指示,最大水平主应力方向在渭河断陷带呈近EW向,在山西断陷带南部呈NNE和NEE向。

Abstract: Based on the seismic phase report data of Weihe-Yuncheng Basin from January 2009 to June 2018, the repositioning results of 8,106 seismic events were obtained by using the double-difference location algorithm. Finally,we got valid locations for 8106 earthquakes. Meanwhile, we determined 346 focal mechanism solutions for earthquakes (ML≥2) by the grid search method.Then we inverted the fine crustal stress field of 1° × 1° grid in this region by MSATSI software package based on the focal mechanism solutions and the method of damped stress tensor inversion.The results show that the seismic events are distributed along the fault strike in the plane after relocation. It is densely distributed along the fault plane in vertical direction. The fault plane in this region has a large dip Angle, even nearly vertical, which is similar to the surface occurrence. The fault movement properties and focal mechanism solutions indicate that the fault properties in the study area are mainly normal fault and strike-slip. Stress field inversion results indicate that the maximum horizontal stress direction in Weihe fault depression belt is nearly EW in Weihe fault depression belt, and NNE and NEE in the south of Shanxi fault depression belt.
