Abstract: In this paper, site effect on earthquake hazard, its general principle and approach of evaluation is discussed in five sections: evaluation of earthquake hazard, seismic hazard analysis, zoning geologic unite, analysis of ground motion response and synthetic classification of active fault in engineering. Some considerations and experience are presented from engineering practice.
